iTunes 7 Video CPU Hog

I've had turn off the video playback. It's such a CPU Hog. When playing back small mp4 files it takes 99% CPU usage on an Thinkpad T41p with a 1.7MHz Pentium M with 1GB of RAM. I admit this isn't the fastest notebook out there but it's no slouch. Plus it's defiantly a software issue. VLC takes 10% CPU usage (if that) when playing back the same files. Even Quicktime only takes 30%. What gives?
