Linux for the Desktop - Almost there

I've used Linux professionally for years and I've tried it out as my main Desktop many times. I've always went back to either OS X or Windows XP for various reasons. But great progress has been made so I'm going to take a look at DistroWatch's top 3 distros.

Ubuntu 6.10
openSUSE 10.1
Fedora Core 6
